Our home, a traditional, 18th century, stone farmhouse, lies in the lush, tranquil Brouains Valley in the south-east corner of Manche, Lower Normandy. We are located just outside Sourdeval, a typical small market town with a variety of shops, bars and a weekly produce and animal market.
We are perfectly situated for those seeking the peace and quiet of the countryside particularly enthusiastic cyclists and hikers as, directly to the rear of our property runs one of Normandy's numerous "voie vertes" (green ways) which were once railway tracks but which have been transformed into wonderful, picturesque routes and regularly mantained to a very high standard. From these you can enjoy great views, unadulterated by roads, whilst travelling safely and comfortably for many miles.
Our farmhouse lies in 2 and a half acres of land on which we raise sheep and poultry and grow fruit and vegetables. We are both enthusiastic cooks and create a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes using ourĀ  own produce wherever possible which we are very happy to share with guests.
Children are very welcome and we will endeavour to meet any special requirements if notified in good time. The garden is safe and child friendly and we are planning a small children's play area.
Having been dog lovers ourselves for many years, we know how rewarding (but sometimes limiting) it can be to share holidays with a canine companion, and so we provide the facilities to make this possible. We have, available for guests' use, a comfortable kennel and large grass exercise area where well-behaved dogs can be looked after whilst their humans go to places they can't. So, if you have a valid Pet Passport save the kennelling fees and give your dog a break as well.
